Mamra is puffed rice, which is either roasted with spices or sugar or made into a pastry. This puffed rice is most often used for savory snacks (Bhel Puri) and desserts (Murmura Laddu). Puffed rice is also known as mumra, murmura or mamra. It is often combined with a little bit salt, oil, lemon and peanuts. The puffed rice can also be served with fresh coriander leaves in the form of a Chaat with Sev, Aloo Bhujia, finely chopped onion, boiled potatoes, coriander and mint chutney.
